Election Day is Saturday, May 3, 2025. The following City Council positions will be on the ballot:  Seat 1, Seat 3, & Seat 5

Candidate Requirements

Candidates running for Holland, TX City Council must affirm that they are:

  • At least 18 years of age as of the date of application
  • A qualified voter of the City, which in the charter shall mean a person who is registered to vote by the State of Texas, whose registration is effective in the City of Holland
  • A resident of the City and have resided within the corporate limits of the City for at least 12 months immediately preceding the date of the election

City Council Candidate Guide

The City Secretary's Office has prepared a guide which provides the needed information and forms required to be a candidate for the City Council. Guides will be provided upon request either electronically or paper. 

The filing period begins Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The deadline to file is Friday, February 14, 2025 at 5 PM.
